Your Right to Access your Personal Health Information (Medical Records)
One of the purposes of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Ontario’s health specific privacy law is to provide individuals with a right of access to personal health information about themselves, subject to limited and specific exceptions set out in the Act.
PHIPA provides rules for access to personal health information. You can exercise your right of access to your records of personal health information by way of a written request to the health information custodian (e.g. the physician, hospital or healthcare facility who has the health information)..Learn more

Equipment & Educational Conference
Held on April 23 and preceded by a Networking evening. This annual event is “Must Attend” by health professionals , companies and agencies staff interested in learning about the latest products available to further enrich the work they do and the people they serve.

Burlington Seniors Health Fair
The 15th annual City of Burlington Seniors Health Fair was held on April 25th at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre.
Visitors were treated to a rich variety of information ranging from care at home agencies, long term care facilities, travel for seniors’ programs, not for profit services, and more.
iCare Home Health & Navigator team was on site to provide the best care at home options and a gift for booth visitors.

Celebrating Life and our Coming of Age
Health Ageing Education Series
As our population continues to age, there is a growing demand for accessible and high-quality education focusing on topics related to healthy ageing.
In response, Programs for 50+ at Ryerson University’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education and the LIFE Institute, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, have partnered with Mount Sinai Hospital’s Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program to present an inaugural five-part education series, Celebrating LIFE and Our Coming of Age, which will present a variety of topics important to all of us as we age.
