13th Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon
#LestWeForget
As we approach Remembrance Day, this year will be especially painful as we remember the most recent fallen, and honour the memory of Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent who were tragically killed recently. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize Halton MediChairfor the tremendous effort they take to organize and hold the Annual Veteran Appreciation Luncheon along with community partners. This year’s event was held on November 3rd. It’s usually well attended by veteran and their family. Government and community leaders are given the opportunity to attend, honour and serve this who sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy today. For more pictures, visit our facebook page and Like us!

Caregiver Leaves to Help Families is Now in Effect
People in Ontario can now take three new leaves of absence thanks to the Employment Standards Amendment Act (Leaves to Help Families), 2014, which came into effect on October 29. This legislation allows caregivers to focus their attention on what matters most – providing care to their loved ones – without fear of losing their jobs.
At iCare Home Health, one of our core values is to “Make a Difference” in everything we do. In support of the “Make a Difference” value, we were proud to once again sponsor The Alzheimer Society annual Oakville Coffee Break fundraiser.
With the support of our community partners, The Green Bean and Classic Gourmet Coffee, we served Oakville residents free coffee in exchange for a donation to the Alzheimer Society.
It was a great opportunity to mix with the community, enjoy some great coffee, handout great information on Alzheimer disease and collect donations…all for great cause.
